Hardware Test & Integration Engineer
\n
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Test & Integration Engineer to support the bring-up, debugging, verification, and integration of complex FPGA-based embedded electronic systems. The ideal candidate is highly hands-on in the laboratory and comfortable troubleshooting hardware from initial power-on through system-level integration and production readiness.

The engineer will work closely with hardware, FPGA, embedded software, and systems engineers and will be responsible for developing test methods, automating testing, analyzing failures, and producing clear test documentation and reports.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform board bring-up, hardware debugging, verification, and system integration of complex embedded electronic assemblies.
- Bring up and troubleshoot standard interfaces including I²C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, JTAG, DDR4/DDR5 memory interfaces, PCIe, and other high-speed digital interfaces.
- Test and characterize power supplies and DC/DC converters, including voltage/current measurements, sequencing, ripple/noise, transient response, efficiency, and load behavior.
- Use laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, logic analyzers, electronic loads, power supplies, DMMs, and frequency counters.
- Troubleshoot hardware at the schematic (Altium), PCB, FPGA, and system levels, isolating problems to component, circuit, interface, firmware, or software.
- Perform signal-integrity and timing measurements and validate interfaces against design requirements.
- Support FPGA-based systems, preferably using AMD/Xilinx Vivado and/or Altera/Intel Quartus.
- Work with embedded processors/SoCs and FPGA-based embedded platforms.
- Operate comfortably in a Linux environment, including command-line tools, networking, drivers, logs, and basic system configuration.
- Develop Python scripts and test automation for instrument control, data acquisition, automated pass/fail testing, calibration, and regression testing.
- Perform subsystem and system-level integration, verification, and troubleshooting.
- Develop test procedures, test plans, acceptance criteria, troubleshooting documentation, and formal engineering test reports.
- Capture, analyze, and clearly present test results, including waveforms, measurements, failure data, and corrective actions.
- Support manufacturing and production test activities, including failure analysis and root-cause investigation.

Required Qualifications
\n
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. The candidate should have 6+ years of hands-on hardware test, board bring-up, integration, or embedded-system experience, with strong knowledge of digital electronics, power systems, and embedded hardware.
\n
Strong hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and other laboratory test equipment is essential. The candidate must be comfortable reading schematics, datasheets, PCB documentation, timing diagrams, and interface specifications, and should be able to independently diagnose hardware problems rather than simply execute predefined test procedures.

Experience with Linux, Python scripting, Ethernet/networking, FPGA-based hardware, and Xilinx Vivado and/or Intel/Altera Quartus is strongly desired.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience
\n
Experience with RF systems and RF test equipment is highly desirable, including spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, power meters, and network analyzers. Familiarity with RF measurements such as output power, harmonics, spurious emissions, frequency accuracy, VSWR/return loss, and basic RF signal-chain troubleshooting is a plus.

Experience with Xilinx/AMD FPGA Ultrascale+ (MPSOC/RFSOC) families, Intel/Altera SoC FPGA devices, Embedded Linux, automated production testing, environmental testing, calibration, and manufacturing test environments would also be valuable.
