The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility support tasks across 16 residential homes, one 6-unit apartment complex, and two commercial buildings. This role ensures that all buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained while delivering responsive, high-quality service. The technician will travel between assigned properties to complete work orders and inspections, maintain a consistent schedule, and respond to urgent issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete routine repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance and regular inspections across multiple sites.
- Respond to work orders, document completed tasks, and communicate updates to the operations manager.
- Install, repair, or replace fixtures, appliances, locks, doors, and hardware.
- Coordinate with vendors/contractors and oversee on-site work when needed.
- Perform light grounds keeping, debris removal, and exterior maintenance.
- Perform preventive tasks such as filter changes, lubrication, tightening, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
- Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs independently.
- Must have own tools. A company truck will be provided.
- Valid and clear driver’s license.
- DOJ Clearance
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks safely.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
- Experience in property management or multi-facility maintenance preferred.
- Certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades preferred
