What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a retail grocery location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related activity, while maintaining a visible presence.
- Support store personnel and visitors with directions, incident response, and other security-related assistance consistent with post orders and Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Texas Level III Armed Certification.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
