Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, experienced, and self-motivated Maintenance Technician / Handyman to perform general maintenance and repairs at our commercial buildings and residential rental properties.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded maintenance professional who can handle a variety of repairs, troubleshoot problems, and complete projects efficiently with minimal supervision.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining our properties in excellent condition.
Job Responsibilities
● Perform general maintenance and repairs at commercial and residential rental properties.
● Handle plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and minor leaks.
● Perform basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures, where permitted.
● Complete drywall repairs, painting, carpentry, and general remodeling projects.
● Repair and replace doors, locks, windows, and hardware.
● Perform routine property inspections and preventive maintenance.
● Prepare rental units for new tenants, including repairs, painting, and general upkeep.
● Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine cost-effective solutions.
● Maintain building interiors, exteriors, and common areas.
● Respond promptly to maintenance requests and coordinate repairs as needed.
● Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
● Previous experience in property maintenance, construction, or general handyman work.
● Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
● Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
● Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
● Must be dependable, punctual, trustworthy, and detail-oriented.
● Ability to communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and management.
