Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and versatile Technical Project Manager & Scrum Master to lead our software development life cycle. In this hybrid role, you will act as the bridge between our business stakeholders and the engineering team, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into executable technical tasks.
Beyond standard project management, you will also help with Quality Assurance (QA), validating that the features we build meet our high standards before they ship. If you are a proactive problem-solver who loves running efficient sprints, grooming backlogs, and clearing roadblocks, we want you on our team!
Key ResponsibilitiesAgile & Project Management
- Bridge Business and Tech: Translate high-level business requirements and objectives into clear, actionable technical work tasks (epics, user stories, and sub-tasks) for the software development team.
- Sprint Management: Plan, organize, and set up agile sprints. Facilitate capacity planning, sprint kick-offs, and guide the team in accurately assigning story points.
- Set up for Success: Monitor team velocity for productivity variations and ensure Acceptance Criteria is clearly spelled out on every ticket.
- Backlog Ownership: Continuously groom and refine the product backlog and Jira tickets, ensuring the development team always has a clear, well-defined runway of work.
- Unblock the Team: Proactively identify, own, and resolve roadblocks or dependencies that threaten the sprint goals or team momentum.
Quality Assurance (QA)
- Testing & Validation: Perform hands-on QA testing for new features and bug fixes to ensure they meet the defined acceptance criteria and business needs.
- Quality Control: Work alongside developers to document bugs, edge cases, and workflow interruptions in Jira.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience working as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or similar Agile role within a software development environment.
- Tool Expertise: Strong proficiency in Jira (creating workflows, managing boards, reporting) and Confluence (documentation, specs, and meeting notes). Solid working knowledge of GitHub (understanding pull requests, branches, and the general developer lifecycle).
- Agile Mastery: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, story pointing, velocity tracking, and leading standard ceremonies (Stand-ups, Grooming, Planning, Retrospectives).
- QA Capability: Experience performing manual testing, QA validation, and writing detailed bug reports.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to speak both "business" and "developer" fluently.
