Senior Project Manager
Location: Reno, NV (Local or Relocation Required)
Salary: $150,000 – $190,000+ (Flexible for the right candidate)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to provide overall leadership, direction, and financial oversight on large-scale construction projects. This individual will play a critical role in driving project success from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring profitability.
Arena, large-scale, or complex hospitality project experience is highly preferred.
Per diem may be available for select candidates; however, Reno-based or relocation candidates are strongly preferred.
Compensation is flexible for the right individual with the right experience.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of assigned construction projects, including financial performance, team leadership, client relations, and overall project execution. This role serves as a key liaison between ownership, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Financial Oversight
- Provide leadership in all financial and profitability aspects of assigned projects
- Develop and manage project budgets aligned with profitability goals
- Forecast project performance and ensure financial targets are met
- Evaluate risks, challenges, and opportunities impacting project success
Project Execution
- Oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to field operations
- Monitor project progress, schedule, costs, and overall performance
- Provide strategic direction to keep projects on schedule and within budget
Team Leadership & Development
- Hire, assign, and manage project teams based on scope and complexity
- Mentor, coach, and develop Project Managers, Engineers, and field staff
- Ensure proper staffing and alignment across all phases of the project
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level project concerns
- Lead meetings and maintain consistent communication to ensure client satisfaction
Project Acquisition & Preconstruction
- Participate in project pursuit, negotiation, and contract development
- Analyze project requirements and align execution strategies accordingly
- Identify unique project challenges and develop proactive solutions
Quality, Performance & Closeout
- Ensure projects meet or exceed quality, schedule, and budget expectations
- Maintain strong on-site presence to monitor progress and address challenges
- Lead project closeout to ensure successful completion and client satisfaction

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 10+ years of construction management experience
- Proven experience managing large-scale or complex construction projects
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and large project scopes
