Salary Range: $70K – $85K

Job Description
Nexagen Networks is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to install, configure, and maintain an organization's Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and ensure completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and manage user access. Install and upgrade software while maintaining software licenses. Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Support installation, maintenance, and usage of the organization's LAN, establish network procedures regarding access methods, timing, security validation checks, and documentation, and maintain network software and hardware inventories. Research and troubleshoot network-related hardware and software issues, inform users of network problems, and maintain continuity of software licensing and maintenance agreements. Under general supervision, install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business requirements. Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimal performance, ensure data integrity through appropriate hardware and software solutions, and maintain data recoverability through scheduled backups and archive operations. Support media management through internal or offsite storage solutions, develop and promote standard operating procedures (SOPs), conduct routine hardware and software audits for compliance, and maintain a comprehensive configuration database of all supporting documentation while reporting regularly to a Senior Network Engineer.
Position Responsibilities
• Configure, install, maintain, and update Windows-based computers, servers, and associated peripherals.
• Configure, install, maintain, and update Linux-based servers and operating systems.
• Install and deploy required software updates utilizing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Software Center.
• Develop, install, and maintain Windows-based operating system images and configurations.
• Test, implement, and maintain required security settings and compliance controls on all supported devices.
• Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot multifunction devices and related peripherals.
• Monitor and respond to incidents through the ticketing system and resolve assigned trouble tickets.
• Utilize Active Directory, MECM, Software Center, Group Policy, DNS, SQL, and related tools to administer and support a large enterprise network environment.
• Monitor system logs, verify completion of scheduled jobs, and ensure successful system backup operations.
• Analyze network and server resource utilization and manage user access controls.
• Troubleshoot network, server, hardware, and software issues and coordinate resolution efforts.
• Maintain software licensing compliance and support maintenance agreement requirements.
• Conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with established standards and configuration guidelines.
• Maintain network hardware and software inventories and supporting documentation.
• Develop, document, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with less than 5 years of relevant experience
• OR Associate degree or 2 years of technical school with 2+ years of relevant experience
