Job Description
Job DescriptionAbout the Role
Join an AI and robotics team building infrastructure that connects, manages, updates, and monitors deployed robot fleets. You will work across on-device software, cloud systems, and fleet observability to make reliable real-time robot data and updates possible.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain production-grade C++ and Go software that runs on robotic platforms.
- Develop on-device systems for robotics software integration, local data buffering, and edge-side communications.
- Design and operate secure, low-latency data pipelines between robot fleets, cloud infrastructure, and web platforms.
- Build OTA update systems for deploying software safely and reliably to robots in the field.
- Create telemetry, logging, monitoring, alerting, and fleet dashboard capabilities across devices and cloud systems.
- Improve reliability, performance, resource usage, resilience, and uptime in real-world deployments.
- Collaborate with autonomy, hardware, deployment, and web product teams on fleet-scale capabilities.
What We're Looking For
- Three to ten years of experience in robotics or IoT infrastructure engineering.
- Production experience with C++ and Go, alongside embedded or edge-device development.
- Experience building edge-to-cloud data pipelines and deploying or managing OTA update systems for device fleets.
- Experience building fleet observability, including telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
- Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS or GCP, Terraform, and Docker.
- Familiarity with networking protocols such as MQTT, gRPC, or WebSockets.
- Experience driving projects across hardware and software teams, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
- A related bachelor's or master's degree and robotics or IoT startup experience are helpful.
