The Low Voltage Project Manager oversees fire alarm, security, and structured cabling projects from kickoff through closeout. This role is responsible for project planning, customer communication, financial performance, scheduling, procurement, and quality control to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate has experience managing large commercial projects and can lead project teams while maintaining strong customer relationships and project profitability.
Skills & Responsibilities

Manage low-voltage projects, including fire alarm, security, access control, CCTV, and structured cabling systems.

Lead project planning, labor allocation, subcontractor coordination, material procurement, and scheduling activities.

Direct engineering resources for drawings, submittals, permits, and closeout documentation.

Serve as the primary customer contact and lead project meetings with owners, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Monitor project budgets, schedules, profitability, cash flow, and overall project performance.

Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.

Manage change orders, contract compliance, and project documentation.

Conduct site visits to ensure quality standards, safety compliance, and customer expectations are met.

Provide leadership and guidance to field personnel, subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers as needed.

Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final documentation, billing, and collections.
Qualifications

5+ years of experience managing commercial low-voltage construction projects preferred.

Experience managing projects valued at $500K+ preferred.

Strong knowledge of fire alarm, security, access control, CCTV, and structured cabling systems.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, budgets, and profitability.

Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.

Valid Driver's License required.
Physical Requirements

Ability to travel regularly to project sites and customer locations.

Ability to walk active construction sites and navigate varying job site conditions.

Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access equipment locations as needed.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
