This team provides hands-on IT support that keeps plant employees, infrastructure, network connectivity, servers, and end-user technology operating reliably. The environment calls for a customer-focused technician who is comfortable working independently while partnering closely with plant employees, centralized IT teams, and third-party vendors.

What’s In Store For You

  • Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)
  • Work model: 100% onsite in Mineral Point, Wisconsin.
  • Primary support location is the Mineral Point manufacturing site, with additional support responsibilities for Stoughton and Janesville, Wisconsin.
  • Approximately 25% travel may be required between supported sites.
  • Full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Opportunity to work across end-user support, networking, server infrastructure, imaging, Active Directory, and manufacturing-site IT operations.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Provide hands-on desktop, laptop, printer, imaging, and general end-user technology support in a manufacturing environment.
  • Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot data-closet equipment, servers, UPS systems, network infrastructure, and client devices.
  • Monitor overall site technology health and escalate or resolve infrastructure, server, network, and endpoint issues.
  • Configure new workstations, clients, and servers according to documented standards and deployment procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance including patching, software and agent installation, imaging, backup/recovery, and incident troubleshooting.
  • Support network infrastructure by maintaining IDF documentation, tracking port mappings, assisting with cable runs, and providing guidance on cable termination.
  • Escort and coordinate third-party vendors completing maintenance within secured technology areas.
  • Partner closely with plant personnel and centralized IT teams to promote reliable technology operations and adherence to IT best practices.

Are You an Experienced Desktop Support Professional Ready to Make an Impact?

  • Bring 3–5 years of relevant desktop/site support experience in a hands-on technical environment.
  • Strong experience with desktop support, computer imaging, printer support, and customer service.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, network connectivity, and common network devices.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments ranging from legacy Windows platforms through Windows 11.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments, ideally including versions from Server 2008 through Server 2019.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, antivirus technologies, and Windows security settings.
  • Experience with common IT tools including Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Remote Desktop, Telnet/PuTTY, and endpoint imaging or backup/recovery software.
  • Comfortable supporting servers and data-closet infrastructure and assisting with basic cabling and network troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer-service, interpersonal, communication, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
  • Able to operate independently with limited supervision in an onsite plant environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
