Technical Project Manager – Market Risk Data Remediation

Position Overview
\n
We are seeking a strong Technical Project Manager with a solid understanding of Capital Markets, Market Risk, and data management to lead a data remediation program within the Market Risk organization.
\n
\n
The ideal candidate will have experience managing technology and data-driven initiatives within financial services, with the ability to understand complex data issues, work closely with technical teams, and coordinate remediation efforts through successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a data remediation program within Market Risk.
- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring milestones and objectives are met.
- Partner with business, technology, and risk stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Oversee data analysis, validation, and remediation activities.
- Track project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies using JIRA.
- Leverage SQL to analyze data, investigate discrepancies, and support remediation efforts.
- Work closely with technical teams and business partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Provide regular status updates and communicate project progress to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
\n

- 5–10 years of experience in Project Management, Business Analysis, or a related technology role within financial services.
- Strong Technical Project Management experience, preferably within Capital Markets or Risk Technology.
- Understanding of Market Risk concepts and processes.
- Experience with Value-at-Risk (VaR) analysis.
- Strong SQL skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA for project tracking and management.
- Ability to bridge business and technical teams and translate requirements into actionable deliverables.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A mid-level Technical Project Manager (5–10 years of experience) with a strong combination of project management, data knowledge, and Capital Markets or Market Risk domain experience. The role is primarily focused on project management rather than business analysis, requiring someone who can lead remediation efforts, understand the underlying data, and effectively communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.
