Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The Maintenance Technician will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Apply trade skills to prevent unscheduled downtime of equipment. Respond to schedule changes efficiently and timely including nip changes, suction changes, color changes and other needed machine modification/set-ups.

· Maintain all paperwork and records in a correct and professional manner. This includes shift report sheets, checklists for preventive maintenance, purchase order request forms and other maintenance related forms used during the shift.

· Use the company supplied tools professionally and for their intended purposes. All tools are to be held in good working order and any damages to these tools are to be reported to the department supervisor.

· Keep work area, Spare Parts Room and Workshop/Office clean, organized and free of debris to follow 5S standards.

· Observe, report and correct all unsafe conditions that may result in potential accidents.

Special Skills/Requirements:

· Positive communication skills, including the use of cell phone for on call structure.

· Advanced math and reading skills.

· Basic computer skills including the use of Windows based programs.

· PLC troubleshooting

· AC Drive troubleshooting

· 24 VDC troubleshooting

· 480 VAC troubleshooting

· Repair and replace machinery

· Perform preventive and predicted maintenance

· LOTO

· Planning and Organization skills

· Ability to work carefully, methodically and safely

· Fabrication

· Expert with hand tools

· Help install and qualify new machinery

· Ability to have oil analysis and vibration testing tracked

Education and Experience:

· 5 or more years within a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

· Journeyman Card from the D.O.L and an accredited Apprenticeship program

· Expert reading Schematics and Blueprints

· Expert with pneumatic and hydraulic systems

· Experience in MIG and TIG welding

· OSHA 10 and 30

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift 50 pounds

· Adherence to all required company supplied PPE

· Ability to operate all company vehicles including forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and van

· Stand for prolonged periods of time

· Work in areas that does not have air conditioning yet

· Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, and climb
