Job DescriptionThis position will serve as an ETL Developer responsible for supporting Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives and the Information Services environments for the State of Michigan enterprise and the Center for Shared Solutions.
The position develops Information Services needs as well as evaluating, recommending and supporting technological solutions and Data Management architecture and software. They work closely with agency customers and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. It is essential that the ETL developer build an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical business issues. They manage data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.
The ETL developer educates and trains clients to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and option exploration. The ETL developer works with clients to determine business requirements, priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and develop Data Warehouse (DW) and Data Management strategy.
This includes working with business and IT development teams to design and implement enterprise data lakes, data marts, data warehouses and design and implement dashboards, alerts, and business analytics solutions and reports.
Requirements5+ years:
- Hands‑on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data
- Hhands‑on experience with IBM Knowledge Catalog, including enabling and supporting the migration of existing IBM DataStage workloads to Cloud Pak for Data
- Hands‑on experience with IBM Manta
Experience defining and enforcing data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions
Experience working in large, complex, enterprise environments with multiple data sources
Strong understanding of data quality, data consistency, and data lifecycle management
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business, analytics, and IT team

Location
- Candidates must be local to the Lansing, Michigan area (within 120 miles) at time of submission. This requirement is non-negotiable
- Position is a hybrid schedule with required onsite days- Mondays and Tuesdays. Remote eligible days- Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Non-negotiable
- Working hours Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Employment Terms
- This is a W2 position
- 40 hrs per week
- HYBRID schedule - with required onsite days- Mondays and Tuesdays. Remote eligible days- Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Non-negotiable
