The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in keeping advanced manufacturing equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently. Working on 1st shift, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of mechanical and electrical systems, while coordinating your work with production schedules and department supervisors. This position is ideal for a skilled dual-craft technician who enjoys hands-on problem solving in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced manufacturing systems, including robotics, PLC-controlled equipment, and pneumatic and hydraulic machinery.
- Perform regular inspections, repairs, and replacements on production machinery and facility equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities in line with established schedules and procedures, documenting work performed and parts used.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation to guide maintenance and repair work.
- Support production teams by coordinating maintenance tasks with production schedules and communicating equipment status to supervisors.
- Maintain high standards of safety and reliability by following all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and best practices for industrial maintenance.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability, including availability for overtime when needed to support production and maintenance priorities.
- Work in a temperature-controlled environment around 45°ree;F, while also performing tasks in areas ranging from -5°ree;F to 100°ree;F, both indoors and outdoors, as required.
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks, which may include work on electrical systems, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, tube bending, and pipe threading as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by applying training and knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S where applicable.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or production environments.
- Strong dual-craft maintenance skills, with proficiency in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical diagrams.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of motors, electrical maintenance, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated diagnostic and problem-solving skills for mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ability to work reliably in varying temperature conditions, including cold and hot environments.
- Consistent attendance and willingness to work overtime when required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment of 2+ years is preferred.
- Training or familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Exposure to or training in Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
- Knowledge of 5S workplace organization practices is beneficial.
- Experience with electrical systems in an industrial or facility setting.
- Basic plumbing skills for facility maintenance tasks.
- Welding experience, including TIG welding, in a maintenance or fabrication context.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and their maintenance.
- Ability to perform tube bending and pipe threading for equipment and facility installations.
- Comfort working with robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing facility that includes extremely cold areas as well as zones that can be very hot, requiring comfort working in a wide range of temperatures from approximately -5°ree;F to 100°ree;F. The primary work area is generally temperature-controlled around 45°ree;F, and work is performed both indoors and outdoors as needed. You will work around advanced manufacturing equipment such as robotics, PLC-controlled systems, and pneumatic and hydraulic machinery, using standard industrial maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment. The environment emphasizes safety, reliability, and coordination with production operations, with occasional overtime to meet maintenance and production demands.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $41.00/hr.
