Unarmed Security Officer – Marengo, Ohio
Andy Frain Services is seeking dependable, professional, and highly observant Unarmed Security Officers for a security operation in Marengo, Ohio. This position is ideal for individuals who take security seriously, pay close attention to their surroundings, and are comfortable enforcing strict access-control procedures.
Our officers are responsible for maintaining a secure facility through access control, interior and exterior monitoring, CCTV surveillance, outside patrols, and fire watch duties. Officers are expected to remain aware of activity occurring both inside and outside the facility and communicate unusual activity, safety concerns, or security issues immediately.
Primary Responsibilities
- Control access at multiple entrances and secured doors throughout the facility.
- Verify that every employee, contractor, visitor, and other individual is properly authorized before allowing access.
- Maintain a strict NO APPROVAL – NO ENTRY standard at all times.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and maintain awareness of activity occurring throughout the property.
- Conduct routine outside patrols and security checks of the facility and surrounding property.
- Perform fire watch duties and properly document required inspections.
- Identify and immediately report suspicious activity, security concerns, safety hazards, or unusual conditions.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, patrol records, and incident documentation.
- Communicate important information to other officers and supervisors during shift changes.
- Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, unauthorized-access attempts, and other incidents.
- Maintain a professional security presence and provide respectful customer service without compromising security procedures.
Zero-Tolerance Access Control Standard
No individual is permitted into the facility unless they have been properly approved and authorized. This requirement is non-negotiable.
Allowing an unauthorized person into the facility is considered a serious security violation and may result in immediate termination.
Officers will have the full support of site management when professionally enforcing established access-control procedures. If someone cannot demonstrate that they are authorized to enter, the officer's responsibility is to deny access and contact management when necessary.
Scheduling & Availability
Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available. Most full-time schedules will require working at least one weekend day. Applicants who have flexibility to assist with call-offs, open shifts, overtime, or additional coverage are strongly preferred.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for officers who are dependable, alert, confident, professional, and willing to enforce security procedures consistently. Candidates must be comfortable working independently while remaining part of a larger security team.
Previous security experience is preferred but not required. Military experience is a plus. Candidates with backgrounds in security, military service, logistics, warehouse operations, emergency response, or other positions requiring accountability and attention to detail are encouraged to apply.
This is not simply a position where you sit at a desk and watch a door. Our objective is to maintain a secure, controlled facility where officers know what is happening inside and outside the property and take ownership of protecting the site.
