The Janitor maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment across office, restrooms, lunchroom, manufacturing areas, and shop floors. This role focuses on daily cleaning tasks, waste removal, and general upkeep to support a comfortable and efficient workplace for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain office areas, including dusting, wiping surfaces, and keeping common spaces tidy.
- Ensure restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked, including toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, and dispensers.
- Clean and maintain the lunchroom, including tables, counters, floors, and trash receptacles.
- Perform routine floor care such as sweeping and mopping in offices, restrooms, lunchroom, and manufacturing areas.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers throughout the facility and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean up the shop floor as needed, including picking up debris and maintaining clear walkways.
- Break down and remove boxes and other packaging materials, transporting them to the dumpster or appropriate disposal locations.
- Carry out general janitorial duties as assigned to maintain a neat and orderly facility.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent standards of cleanliness.
- Use cleaning supplies and equipment safely and properly in accordance with facility guidelines.
Essential Skills
- Experience performing janitorial, custodial, or helper duties in a workplace or similar environment.
- Ability to complete general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
- Capability to keep restrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and manufacturing areas clean and orderly.
- Reliability in following cleaning routines and completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- High school diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Comfort working in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to manage multiple cleaning tasks and prioritize work throughout the day.
- Willingness to assist with additional housekeeping or facility tasks as needed.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming workplace.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift position with hours from Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The facility is very clean, air-conditioned, and features music played over the PA system daily, creating a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. The environment is fairly laid back, yet everyone is expected to stay focused and complete their work. Work takes place in a mix of office, restroom, lunchroom, and manufacturing areas, with regular movement throughout the building.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
