AI Software Engineer - Global Hedge Fund - NYC - Top Percentile Compensation

A world-renowned quant hedge fund is looking for a defining software engineer who has consistently been top of their class in college, strong promotion trajectory and now a core contributor in the environment they're currently working in - to work on new AI initiatives.

This person will sit in their central AI team, directly helping to shape the strategy, future, and core AI platform that our entire organization uses. It is a highly collaborative role focused heavily on enablement, platform building, and working closely with teams across the firm- so you need to be happy wear multiple hats and tackle a wide range of challenges.

Experience:

- \n
- 3–12 years of software engineering experience
- A proactive self-starter who works on engineering projects in their spare time / open-source contributor and is highly adaptable
- You do not need a heavy, academic AI researcher or modeler. They are looking for an exceptionally strong, core, and highly adaptable backend engineer
- Top percentile talent- clear promotions, defining ratings, top performer at a leading university

You don't need to be working on AI initiatives currently, but interested in being on a force multiplier team leading initiatives to help shape AI strategy and platforms for the firm.

In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role is $200,000 to $350,000.
\n
\n
In addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive compensation program, as well as a wide array of benefit programs, such as medical and life insurance, retirement and tax-free savings plans, and access to other healthcare programs.
