Job DescriptionBattery Recycling Technician
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19
Position Summary:
The Battery Recycling Technician safely disassembles, sorts, and processes EV batteries for recycling in a warehouse environment. This role requires following strict safety procedures while meeting daily production goals.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, disassemble, and process EV batteries.
- Operate recycling equipment, including shredders and saws.
- Inspect and maintain equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and environmental regulations.
- Meet daily production goals.
- Assist with shipping, inventory, and forklift duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Up to 2 years of warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to pass a medical evaluation and respirator (PAPR) fit test.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 65 lbs. individually.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
- Must wear required PPE, including a Tyvek suit and PAPR respirator.
