Reports to: Director of Facilities or Facilities Supervisor
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented School Custodian to join our team. As a School Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and creating a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include performing a variety of cleaning tasks, implementing sanitation protocols, and assisting with facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning duties: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; clean and disinfect classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas; sanitize surfaces and touchpoints; empty trash and recycling bins regularly.

Respond to urgent cleaning needs: Address spills, stains, and other immediate cleaning requirements promptly to prevent accidents and maintain cleanliness standards.

Assist with setup and breakdown of events as needed such as school lectures, meetings, plays, etc.

Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications:

Previous experience in custodial or cleaning services is preferred, but not mandatory.

Understanding and commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for students and staff.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
