SMC Construction – Contracting is a general contractor headquartered in Reno, NV. We are currently working on a large hotel-resort-casino project at the north shore of Lake Tahoe and in need of qualified personnel.

Role Description:
\n
Project Engineer: Full-time, on-site role, based in Crystal Bay, NV:

- Reviewing drawings, managing requests for information (RFI's) and submittals, and coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, etc.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, supporting cost and change order management, and ensuring field work complies with design drawings and specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Collaborating with SMC and subcontractor project managers and superintendents to resolve technical issues, support quality control, and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery.

Qualifications:

- \n
- Strong computer skills (MS office, teams, outlook, excel, word, etc. or similar) with knowledge in construction RFI and Submittal tracking software being beneficial.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read an interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge with construction scheduling software is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a detail-oriented and comprehensive approach.
