Property Grounds Technician
$17–$18.50/hour | Florence, KY
Full-Time | First Shift | Company Vehicle Provided
Uptown Rental Properties is looking for a dependable, hands-on Groundskeeper/Field Technician to help keep our apartment communities clean, safe, and looking their best.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain exterior grounds, common areas, and shared spaces across Uptown properties
- Handle trash removal, compactors, and scheduled movement of trash bins
- Remove litter and help maintain clean, attractive property grounds
- Complete gutter cleaning, leaf blowing, pet station maintenance, and other routine property upkeep
- Complete daily assignments and work orders using an iPhone-based system
- Travel between properties using a company-provided vehicle
- Monitor property conditions and report maintenance, safety, or service concerns
- Assist with larger projects and help move furniture, appliances, equipment, and materials
- Respond to changing priorities and unplanned property needs throughout the day
- Help with snow removal, salting, and weather-related response when needed
- Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, and property teams
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in property maintenance, porter work, groundskeeping, landscaping, facilities, construction, janitorial work, or another hands-on environment
- Are willing to handle all aspects of property upkeep—including trash, litter, grounds work, and cleanup
- Are comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and snow
- Can manage multiple assignments and prioritize your work throughout the day
- Communicate professionally with residents and team members
- Are comfortable using a smartphone or mobile app to manage work assignments
- Have a valid driver's license and are comfortable driving a company vehicle between properties
- Can successfully complete a criminal background check and motor vehicle report
Physical Requirements
This is an active job, and candidates should be comfortable with:
- Standing and walking for approximately 90% of the workday
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting
- Climbing ladders up to approximately 9 feet
- Frequently lifting 50+ pounds
- Occasionally assisting with items weighing 100+ pounds
- Working outdoors throughout the year
- Wearing required PPE and following established safety practices
