Revit Electrical Support Modeler
We are seeking a detail-oriented Revit Electrical Support Modeler to join our VDC team. This is a production-focused role. The Support Modeler executes electrical modeling work from contract documents under the direction of a Lead Modeler or Branch BIM Lead. The primary output is a coordinated, constructability-ready Revit electrical model. This role is the foundation of our BIM program — precision, consistency, and a willingness to learn are the keys to success here.
Qualifications
- Experience using Revit within a construction or coordination environment
- Exposure to eVolve MEP is preferred
- Familiarity with AUTODESK Forma and Navisworks tools
- Willingness to learn and follow H&B modeling standards with guidance
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Key Responsibilities
Modeling & Production
- Build and maintain a fully coordinated 3D Revit electrical model from contract documents
- Model conduit runs, equipment, raceways, and supports with constructability in mind
- Execute modeling tasks assigned by the Lead Modeler or Branch BIM Lead
- Maintain model health — worksets, naming conventions, browser organization, and view setup per H&B standards
- Support prefabrication by modeling to spooling-ready standards
- Maintain and track all revisions of project drawings
Coordination
- Participate in coordination meetings as directed
- Identify and communicate conflicts and clashes to the Lead Modeler for resolution
- Update model based on coordination outcomes, RFI responses, and field feedback
Collaboration & Communication
- Work within the project team under direction of the Lead Modeler
- Communicate progress and any obstacles clearly and promptly
- Support field and prefab teams with model-related requests as directed
Industry Knowledge
- Maintain a working understanding of electrical construction industry processes and installation sequencing
Work Environment
This work mainly operates within a professional office setting; this professionalism extends to project sites when working there is needed. All opinions and ideas shall be presented in a positive and respectful manner. The general use of standard office equipment such as computers, laptops, phones, photocopiers, plotters, filing cabinets, and similar technology should be expected.
Salary: $65,000 - $105,000
