GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
- The Maintenance Worker assists the Maintenance Manager with monitoring and maintaining the condition of the buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment to ensure that the workspace is safe, functional, and in compliance with agency policies and/or licensure requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED required; must be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in construction, building, vehicle and/or electronics maintenance and competency in maintenance duties.
- Must be able to move at least 50 pounds on a regular basis, ascend/descend ladders to access roofs and other areas, and walk on elevated and uneven surfaces. Other physical demands may include: standing for long periods of time, repeating the same movements, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, or crawling.
- Must have experience in the operation and maintenance of power equipment and tools, heavy and light machinery (including vehicles), electronic hardware, and building materials.
- Must possess good attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills.
- Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of team members, clients, vendors, and outside contractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS:
- Performs routine and preventative repairs and maintenance on facilities, vehicles, equipment, and technology.
- Assists with assessments of facilities, vehicles, and equipment using approved checklists, updating checklists as needs arise or repairs are completed. Provides checklists and updates to the Maintenance Manager.
- Completes paperwork and documentation as required.
- Completes all other tasks assigned that are consistent with the skills of the person and best characterized by the position.

ADDITONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver's license required; must maintain an appropriate driving record and be insurable under agency insurance.
- Successful completion of CIB background and Protective Services check required.
