Job Description
We are seeking an organized, proactive Project Scheduler to coordinate the scheduling and sequencing of residential pool construction projects throughout South Florida. You will manage the master schedule, coordinate subcontractors and inspections, and ensure each project is ready before the next phase begins.
This is a hands-on coordination role in a fast-moving construction environment where priorities can change daily. The ideal candidate is comfortable solving problems independently, communicating clearly, and keeping multiple projects moving at once.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the master schedule for 50+ active projects.
- Coordinate excavation, steel, plumbing, electrical, gunite, tile, decking, equipment installation, plaster, and other construction phases.
- Schedule and confirm subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and required site work.
- Monitor project dependencies and ensure each phase is completed before releasing the next trade.
- Identify scheduling conflicts, delays, and site-readiness issues before they impact production.
- Quickly adjust schedules due to weather, permitting issues, material delays, or subcontractor availability.
- Communicate schedule changes with project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and scheduling information within the company's project management software.
- Help develop and improve scheduling procedures as the role and company processes evolve.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in construction scheduling, dispatching, project coordination, or a similar field-service environment.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and project dependencies.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors or outside trade partners.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and confidence handling phone-based coordination throughout the day.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment where schedules frequently change.
- Strong computer and software skills; experience with construction management or scheduling platforms is preferred (JobTread, Procore, etc.)
- Ability to identify problems, take ownership, and find practical solutions without constant direction.
- Pool construction experience is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with South Florida permitting and inspection processes is a plus.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
Location Requirement: Candidates must live in Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, or St. Lucie County.
