Assistant Project Manager
Carlysle Engineering, based in Norwood, MA, is a well-established fire sprinkler contractor specializing in all aspects of commercial fire protection projects throughout Massachusetts and New England. Carlysle is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager ideally with construction experience and knowledge. Some mechanical experience is preferred but not an absolute requirement. Successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of our projects from start to finish. Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in construction project management or supervision.
Willing to train the right candidate.
A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field is preferred.
In-person full-time position at office location in Norwood MA.
Valid driving license
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to read and understand construction documents.
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced ever-changing environment to meet deadlines
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Serve as a point of contact for communication with owners, architects, general contractors, foreman and project team members.
Review project drawings, specs, and project specific documents to help establish project scope.
Assist in development of estimates and bid proposals and vendor/subcontractor buyout.
Maintain dialogue with vendors and subcontractors regarding their scope of work and performance.
Prepare project submittals, track and verify their approval as required for the project and its schedule.
Maintain project logs including contracts, insurance, permits, submittals, PO’s, deliveries, RFI’s and CO’s
Save and maintain project related correspondence and documents in network file structure.
Attend project meetings online and onsite, and takes notes as necessary.
Solicit and manage pricing from suppliers for change orders and change requests, ASI’s and bulletins.
Ensure foreman has updated project information (drawings, specs, RFI’s, submittals, etc.)
Assist Foreman and other team members in the resolution of all critical issues and provide documentation, as necessary
These duties are not intended to be all-inclusive but represent the primary responsibilities of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Pay: $75k – $80k per year
