We're Looking for a Cable and Harness Technician to support our Gilbert Manufacturing Center. As a member of the Harness Manufacturing department,
You will manufacture cable and harness products used in aerospace and defense applications, following strict work instructions, schematics, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture cable and harness assemblies per work instructions, wirelists, schematics, and drawings
- Read and interpret technical documents including IPC WHMA-A-620 and NASA-J-STD standards
- Ensure hardware quality and compliance with company procedures, ISO standards, and safety protocols
- Complete work with accuracy and adherence to operation sheets, schedules, and assigned tasks
- Provide regular status updates and communicate technical issues to shop leads and work center management
- Follow ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and crimping best practices
- Use Microsoft Office and MES applications (workflow, signoff, documentation)
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of 5 additional years of education and/or relevant experience in assembly, electronics, manufacturing, production, or logistics
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical assembly and wiring
- Must be capable of successfully completing certification to IPC WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assembly) and NASA-J-STD
- Experience reading drawings and wiring diagrams
- Exceptional mechanical/electrical aptitude
- ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and Crimping experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate from a Technical Trade School
- Current certification to IPC WHMA-A-620, NASA-J-STD, or other electronics assembly/workmanship certifications
- Experience with MES applications including workflow, signoff, and documentation
