Tresco is seeking a dedicated Lead Custodian (Night Shift) to join our team at White Sands Missile Range. This role is more than custodial work—it's an opportunity to mentor team members, support workplace success, and ensure facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.

What You'll Do
As a Lead Custodian, you'll serve as both a working leader and a mentor, helping your team succeed while maintaining exceptional custodial standards.
???? Leadership Responsibilities
✔ Coach and train custodial staff through hands-on instruction, task analysis, and positive reinforcement
✔ Promote employee success and foster teamwork throughout the worksite
✔ Communicate staff concerns, performance updates, and operational needs to the Custodial Supervisor
✔ Transport custodial employees to and from White Sands Missile Range
✔ Monitor team well-being and provide support when needed
✔ Assist with recommendations for workplace accommodations and adaptive equipment
✔ Provide orientation and ongoing support to employees and coworkers
✔ Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports and documentation
???? Custodial Responsibilities
You'll work alongside your team to maintain facilities according to contract standards by performing duties such as:
• Cleaning and stocking kitchens and breakrooms
• Cleaning and supplying restrooms
• Cleaning drinking fountains
• Disinfecting toilets and restroom fixtures
• Descaling surfaces and fixtures
• Emptying office trash
• Sweeping, vacuuming, and wet mopping floors
• Spot cleaning and floor maintenance
• Interior and exterior window cleaning
• Understanding and utilizing Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Maintaining supply and product labeling compliance
• Ensuring exceptional attention to detail in all tasks performed
What Makes You a Great Fit?Required Qualifications
✔ High School Diploma or GED
✔ Valid Driver's License
✔ Minimum of six (6) months of janitorial experience
✔ Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
✔ Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
✔ Ability to lead by example and work effectively with diverse teams
✔ Excellent communication and organizational skills
Additional Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete and maintain:
✔ Driving Record (MVR) Check
✔ General Background Check
✔ FBI Top Secret Clearance
✔ Office of Inspector General (OIG) / CMMS Exclusions Screening
✔ New Mexico Department of Health Fingerprinting
✔ Ability to safely operate company or personal vehicles for business purposes
