Job DescriptionLead Fire Alarm Technician
Fuze HR is seeking an experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established leader in the fire protection industry. Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00+ per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and licensing.
What You'll Do
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial fire alarm systems.
- Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes.
- Lead installation and service projects from start to finish.
- Diagnose system issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Program, configure, and commission fire alarm control panels and devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
- Mentor and assist junior technicians in the field.
- Complete service reports and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensure all work is completed safely while maintaining company quality standards.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial fire alarm installation and service experience.
- Previous experience leading projects or supervising technicians preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with one or more major fire alarm manufacturers such as Notifier, Silent Knight, Simplex, Siemens, Edwards, Fire-Lite, Bosch, or similar systems.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and applicable fire and life safety codes.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- NICET certification is highly preferred (or willingness to obtain).
