JOB TITLE: Senior Project ManagerCOMPANY: SteelCon Inc. POSITION SUMMARY:Provide overall management across multiple concurrently running structural steel projects, leading customer engagement, drawings and engineering approvals, project scheduling, and budget management from pre-construction through project completion. Maintain strong client relationships and make strategic decisions impacting corporate profitability and ongoing client partnerships. Act independently with proven industry judgment and high autonomy. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Customer & Client Engagement: Cultivate strong client relations, manage expectations, and act as the primary point of contact across all assigned active projects.Engineering & Drawings Approvals: Oversee and expedite the approval process for shop drawings, submittals, and engineering RFIs to maintain critical project timelines.Multi-Project Management: Simultaneously lead schedule, budget, and scope management for multiple structural steel construction projects rather than focusing on a single discipline.Scheduling: Maintain accurate schedule milestones throughout a project's lifecycle.Contracts & Financial Controls: Negotiate, award, execute, and enforce subcontracts; perform continuous cost-to-complete reviews with Superintendents to ensure profitability within approved budgets.Compliance & Risk Management: Verify full compliance with bond, insurance, and safety regulations across all assigned accounts.Subcontractor & Team Leadership: Maintain strong subcontractor relationships, facilitate conflict resolution, and coordinate internal office department support to meet project milestones.Close-Out: Ensure timely completion of projects ran through fabrication and field support. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education: 4-year construction management, engineering, or related technical degree (or equivalent field experience).Experience: 1-3 years of proven construction project management experience, specifically overseeing multi-project portfolios, submittals/drawings, budgets, and scheduling.Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to apply innovative management techniques, drive team performance, and manage multiple complex projects concurrently.Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of structural steel fabrication/erection, construction standards, design processes, and financial controls.Interpersonal Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills with strong diplomacy, negotiation, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
