If you are energized by solving tough equipment problems and keeping production humming, this Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist role is for you. You will combine mechanical know-how, electrical troubleshooting, and hands-on welding and robotics exposure to safeguard uptime across the plant.

What you will tackle

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and conduct scheduled PMs to keep production and facility equipment reliable.
  • Interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders to identify faults; repair or replace parts, sensors, relays, switches, motors, and more.
  • Test suspect equipment, consult with production, maintenance, and tool room teams, and zero in on root causes.
  • Use ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and heavy shop tools to diagnose malfunctions; validate fixes by starting and testing equipment.
  • Perform mechanical adjustments and alignments, including spindles and clutches; rewire motors and replace motor bearings.
  • Inspect and measure components for wear or misalignment; install, test, and maintain control, pressure-sensing, and flow devices.
  • Execute and refine preventive maintenance for welding equipment, including robotic cells.
  • Contribute to structured problem solving and corrective actions (8D) to resolve recurring process or quality issues.
  • Uphold company policies, 5S, and health and safety procedures; champion continuous improvement.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or GED plus a completed craft apprenticeship, or equivalent education and production maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years of general machine maintenance, including 1+ year supporting stamping presses and related equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience in manual and automated welding; solid MIG welding knowledge.
  • Robotic welding and material handling knowledge preferred; programming exposure to Motoman or Fanuc is a plus.
  • Fluency with manufacturing workflows, product design basics, safety, and quality principles.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting with the ability to read and apply electrical/controls schematics.
  • Hydraulics experience.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ERP systems such as Plex.
  • Works quickly and independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Holds current hi-lo, crane, and manlift licenses.

Schedule and environment

  • Flexible availability to support a 24-hour manufacturing operation; periodic on-call coverage may be needed.
  • Role is primarily in a manufacturing setting with customary industrial noise and smells.

Tools and tech you will use

  • Electrical test instruments: ammeter, voltmeter, and ohmmeter.
  • Heavy industrial shop tools for machining, fabrication, and repair.
  • Microsoft Office and ERP (Plex).
