Position Overview

\n

We are seeking a highly skilled Omnissa Horizon & Liquidware Stratusphere VDI Engineer to oversee, optimize, and scale our enterprise virtual desktop infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a high-performance VDI environment built on VMware vSphere and NVIDIA vGPU architectures.

The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in user experience monitoring, utilizing Liquidware Stratusphere UX to analyze protocol performance, audit desktop pools, and streamline our golden image strategy.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Protocol Optimization: Conduct routine reviews of Horizon Blast Extreme and RDP usage. Monitor network bandwidth, frame rates, and latency to optimize remote delivery.

\n

• Image & Clone Management: Maintain, update, and review two primary base images tailored for specific business needs. Manage and optimize full-clone configuration pools for reliability and scale.

\n

• Platform Alignment: Perform comprehensive reviews of configuration settings across Omnissa Horizon (Connection Servers, UAGs) and VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) to ensure structural stability and host density.

\n

• Graphics Acceleration: Allocate, monitor, and troubleshoot NVIDIA vGPU profiles. Ensure power users and graphics-heavy workloads are correctly provisioned and performing optimally.

\n

• Performance Analytics & Diagnostics: Leverage Liquidware Stratusphere UX to evaluate user experience metrics, diagnose login delays, and pinpoint root-cause bottlenecks across compute, storage, and network layers.

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• VDI Expertise: Proven experience engineering and administering Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon) enterprise environments.

\n

• Monitoring & Diagnostics: Deep technical proficiency with Liquidware Stratusphere UX for diagnostic troubleshooting and workspace analytics.

\n

• Infrastructure & Compute: Strong background in core VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi cluster management and vCenter configurations.

\n

• Hardware Acceleration: Hands-on experience configuring and managing NVIDIA vGPU profiles and licensing in a virtualized environment.

\n

• Protocols & OS: Expert-level knowledge of Horizon Blast Extreme and RDP. Experience maintaining master Windows base images for full-clone desktop deployments.

\n

Preferred Skills & Certifications

\n

\n
• Omnissa or VMware VDI-related certifications (e.g., VCP-DTM, VCAP-DTM).

\n

• Liquidware Stratusphere certified professional status.

\n

• NVIDIA Certified Associate or Professional in Virtual Compute.
