Facilities Maintenance Technician I
Looking to start a hands-on career in the trades? We're hiring an entry-level Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep our corporate offices, warehouses, and other properties around Kingsport running smoothly. If you're reliable, like working with your hands, and want to build a new career, we love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Help with everyday repairs — minor electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and general building fixes
- Tag along on building and equipment inspections, learning to spot issues before they become problems
- Support preventative maintenance.
- Keep tools, parts, and supplies organized and stocked
- Help out when outside contractors come in for specialized work
- Follow safety procedures and wear PPE — we take safety seriously
- Pitch in wherever needed to keep our facilities running
What We're Looking For
- Experience with home remodeling.
- A willingness to learn and ask questions
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- A strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Communication skills
Good to Know
- You'll be on your feet, indoors and outdoors, in all kinds of weather
- Some evening or weekend work may come up depending on what's needed.
- You'll need to be able to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and occasionally work at heights
- This is a great entry point with room to grow.
