- NC Detective Agency (NCDA) is seeking dependable, professional Security Officers to provide security, access control, security screening, surveillance, and loss-prevention services at client locations.
Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor assigned properties, buildings, entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
- Operate surveillance cameras, access-control systems, alarms, and other security equipment.
- Operate body scanners, weapon detection systems, metal detectors, and other screening equipment to identify weapons, prohibited items, and security threats.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and other authorized personnel in accordance with client procedures.
- Prevent and report theft, unauthorized access, property damage, suspicious activity, and other potential losses.
- Provide loss-prevention services by identifying and reporting suspected theft, policy violations, inventory discrepancies, and security vulnerabilities.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, suspicious activity, and security incidents.
- Prepare accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Interview witnesses and obtain information when appropriate following an incident.
- Maintain a professional security presence while providing excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and client personnel.
- Follow NCDA policies, client post orders, safety procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other security and loss-prevention duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be dependable, professional, alert, and able to exercise good judgment.
- Must demonstrate strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Basic computer skills are required and will be assessed during the interview.
- Must be capable of learning and operating security screening and technology systems.
- Must be able to stand, walk, patrol, and remain attentive for extended periods.
- Must be available to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be able to respond to work-related notifications and, when accepting a coverage request, report to work as scheduled.
- Must meet all applicable NCDA, client, licensing, and background-screening requirements.
