Altair Data Resources is seeking a Data Analyst with professional experience in data processing, analysis, and automation who is looking for an opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial, high-growth, collaborative environment. As part of our Data Analyst group, you will help clients prepare, understand, and gain value from their data.
This role emphasizes Python, SQL, and extract, transform, and load (ETL) workflows to process, validate, analyze, and deliver data. You will also leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, support problem-solving, and automate routine tasks. Supporting technologies may include Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and other data processing and visualization tools.
Data Analyst Job Duties
Data Analyst responsibilities include conducting analysis and producing accurate datasets based on customer or management requirements. You will develop and maintain data processing workflows, use Python and SQL to automate recurring tasks, and support analysis and reporting capabilities. You will also troubleshoot data issues, monitor data quality and process performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Data Analyst Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python scripts and SQL queries to extract, transform, analyze, and deliver data.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL workflows that combine data from multiple sources, apply business rules, and prepare datasets for analysis or client delivery.
- Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain databases and data processing systems.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and identify trends or patterns in complex datasets.
- Clean, validate, and reconcile data to identify errors, resolve inconsistencies, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Use company-approved AI tools to assist with coding, troubleshooting, documentation, and process improvement while validating outputs and following data security and confidentiality requirements.
- Document workflows, business rules, and quality control procedures to support reliable and repeatable processing.
- Work with management and internal teams to understand requirements, prioritize business needs, and deliver accurate results within established timelines.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data quality, and increase processing efficiency.
Data Analyst Job Requirements
- At least two years of professional experience in data analysis, data processing, ETL development, or a related role.
- Practical experience using Python for data cleaning, transformation, and automation. Familiarity with data processing libraries such as pandas is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, including joins, filters, aggregations, and queries involving multiple tables.
- Experience developing or maintaining ETL workflows and working with relational databases, structured data files, and data quality controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot processing failures, investigate data discrepancies, and implement reliable solutions.
- Familiarity with Excel and reporting or visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Alteryx experience is a plus but is not required.
- Interest in leveraging AI-assisted tools to support coding, data analysis, and process improvement, with the ability to evaluate outputs for accuracy and use these tools responsibly.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, basic knowledge of statistics, and attention to detail when working with large datasets.
- Ability to manage assigned work independently, document processes, explain findings, and collaborate with technical and business teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Compensation details: 60000-80000 Yearly Salary
