Experienced Apartment Maintenance & Renovation Technician

Pay: $60,000 annually (initial full-time phase)

Job Description
We're looking for a highly experienced, all-around maintenance and renovation technician to independently handle apartment renovations and ongoing maintenance across our Cleveland-area properties.
You must be capable of completing full apartment renovations from start to finish on your own, without relying on additional contractors for routine work.
We're looking for someone dependable, efficient, and capable of getting things done without constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Complete apartment renovations and turnovers independently.
- Handle flooring, drywall, painting, carpentry, cabinets, doors, and fixtures.
- Perform plumbing repairs, including toilets, faucets, leaks, and drain issues.
- Handle basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting where legally permitted.
- Maintain and troubleshoot boilers, furnaces, and central heating/AC systems.
- Perform routine HVAC preventative maintenance and common repairs.
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage projects independently and complete work efficiently.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on renovation and maintenance experience.
- Strong skills across multiple trades.
- Proven ability to complete apartment renovations independently.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting boilers, furnaces, and HVAC systems.
- HVAC certification strongly preferred.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems without constant supervision.
- Reliable transportation and own basic tools.
- Dependable, organized, and self-motivated.
Compensation & Schedule
- Initially: $60,000 annualized base salary during the full-time renovation phase.
- After renovations: Transition to flexible part-time work at approximately $25,000–$30,000 annualized base pay, with agreed hours and responsibilities.
- Independence in scheduling and managing daily work.
