Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong Banking / Financial Services domain experience to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-scale applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and enterprise application development, along with experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Banking or Financial Services experience is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
- Develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Participate in application design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
- Support application deployments and production releases.
- Contribute to application modernization and performance improvements.
- Ensure applications meet enterprise security and compliance standards.
Required Technical Skills
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+
- Spring Framework / Spring Boot
- Microservices architecture
- RESTful APIs and web services
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
- Java design patterns
- Strong SQL experience
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases
- Experience with Git or other source-control systems
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Banking / Financial Services Experience Mandatory
Candidates must have professional experience working in the Banking or Financial Services industry.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
