Need candidate from 3-7 years working experience who is very strong with LINUX and shell scripting to do Software Build and Release and Software Deployment tasks; understing of software packaging and working closely with software engineers to sole issues in the build, release and deployment of their software.

Level 3 (Junior Developer) DEPLOYMENT / infrastructure / troubleshoot systems

Work location: 1271 Avenue of the Americas

Work schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Need SDLC, how software is packaged and how it’s deployed and Released
\n
\n
Example – The Dev lead wants to expand the number of servers from 2-4 servers. Make the request, deploy and hook up to production
\n
I want 5 components and I want to move a fourth component – please make a request to get production set up
\n
\n
A percentage of the role – is to deploy software 2-3 days a week, have people do validations of software.
\n
\n
This is a deployment role, you must know how to deploy software and work with releases and servers / Linux.
\n
Pick up tickets and see if you can do a quick fix or if more work is needed
\n
Have a methodical approach to incidents
\n
\n

Need Enterprises Scheduler like TIDAL / CONTROL-M / Autosys <---- YOU MUST KNOW THIS TO GET THIS ROLE – ONE OF THESE MUST HAVE at least

They have 200 components just for Derivatives, you will be multi tasking more than a developer typically would. THIS IS A DEPLOYMENT ENGINEER

Good if you have equities trading or options trading. (Pharma people won’t have this experience, so don’t send them) (high tech experience from google or Microsoft would be good)

\n
You are being hired as a growing role learn the AI stuff. Should have Trading Systems experience
\n
\n
Most of code is written in Java but you don’t have to write any Java Code. MUST HAVE SHELL SCRIPTING.

Software gets deployed with shell scripting MUST HAVE LINUX..

Overview:
\n
In this role, you will interact directly with IT functions to primarily operate and enhance capabilities of the existing trading systems leveraging modern technologies and data & software architectures.
\n
Required years of experience: 3 to 7 years of experience; junior role so would like candidates with 7 years max of working experiene
\n
Required skills:
\n
• Methodical approach to problem solving and incident management
\n
• Able to define and document operational procedures and runbooks
\n
• Familiarity with release packaging and deployment: Rundeck, ansible, etc.
\n
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile frameworks.
\n
• Familiar with Linux: command line, standard file editing/searching/manipulation, shell scripting, etc.
\n
• Good communication skills, able to: express concerns/risks, document and communicate corrective and preventative action plans to stakeholders, etc.

Typical assignments
\n
• Implementing pre-release and post-deployment verifications
\n
• Integrating with Rundeck or Azure DevOps for application deployment
\n
• Implementing application control solutions (start/stop scripts)
\n
• Integrating with monitoring solutions (OpsRamp, Grafana, Splunk, etc.)
\n
• Supporting annual DR/BCP testing requirements
\n
• Provisioning and setup of new servers
\n
• Supporting user authentication and authorization processes and workflows
\n
• Configuring authentication, Service Accounts, etc.
\n
Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL: understanding of tables, views, indexes; how to query and modify data; query performance/optimization
\n
• Working experience with job automation tools such as Tidal, Autosys, Control-M, etc. <---- MUST HAVE THIS
