Software Engineer Bright Light Medical Imaging

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintainweb applications and internal toolsto streamline imaging workflows and reporting systems.
  
• Develop and integratedata pipelines and APIsthat connect scheduling, billing, and imaging platforms.
• Possess knowledge and experience building and working with Mirth engine and HL7 messaging.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to translate operational challenges into effective software solutions.
• Work across the full development stack frombackend logic (Python, Node.js)tofrontend experiences (JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS).
• Ensure high standards of security, data integrity, and HIPAA compliance.
• Continuously test, refine, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Participate in brainstorming and architecture discussions to driveinnovation in healthcare technology.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degreein Computer Science,Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficient in:
  • Python
  • JavaScript / Node.js
  • Mirth engine and HL7 messaging, required
    
  • Web frameworks (e.g., React, Express, Flask, or FastAPI)
• Strong understanding ofAPI design,database management (SQL/NoSQL), andcloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience buildingsecure and reliable web appsfrom concept to deployment.
• Strongproblem-solving skillsand ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Interest or experience inhealthcare technology is a plus.
