Job DescriptionAre you the maintenance leader who keeps production moving?

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Reports To: Manufacturing Manager

Is this you?

  • Experienced in food manufacturing or heavy industrial maintenance—and fluent in CMMS and preventive maintenance?
  • Comfortable overseeing utilities and ammonia refrigeration while responding rapidly to equipment issues?
  • Confident navigating OSHA, EPA, FSMA, and SQF requirements to protect food safety and audit readiness?
  • A coach who teaches interpersonal principles, maintains an open-door policy, and acts like an owner?
  • Data-driven, budget-savvy, and eager to cut downtime with reliability-centered maintenance?

  • Maintenance Supervisors (if applicable)
  • Maintenance Technicians
  • Contract Maintenance Resources (as applicable)

What you’ll ownReliability and Response

  • Build and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Maintain facility infrastructure, including utilities and ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Provide rapid, expert support to manufacturing when equipment issues arise.

Regulatory, Quality, and Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FSMA, and SQF.
  • Support food safety and product quality through maintenance best practices.
  • Keep clear documentation for full audit readiness.

Capital and Continuous Improvement

  • Partner on capital projects for equipment upgrades and facility enhancements.
  • Implement reliability-centered maintenance and CI tools to reduce downtime.
  • Leverage scorecards and analytics to track performance gains.

Budget and Parts

  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including indirect spend.
  • Maintain accurate spare parts inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Finance on purchasing and cost control.

Collaboration and Training

  • Work with Operations, Technical Services and Food Safety & Quality, and Finance to align on objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance for process improvements and modifications.
  • Support training and development for Maintenance Team Members.

Safety Leadership

  • Champion a safe workplace and enforce safety procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate equipment-related risks.

QualificationsEducation

  • Technical degree or equivalent maintenance leadership experience required

Experience

  • Food manufacturing or industrial maintenance background
  • Preventive maintenance and CMMS expertise
  • Capital project and equipment improvement support
  • Knowledge of SQF, OSHA, EPA, and FSMA programs

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and facility systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and priority management in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communicator and effective leader of change
  • Computer proficiency, including CMMS and Microsoft Office

Working conditions

  • Primarily onsite within a manufacturing environment; routine exposure to industrial equipment and utilities
  • Must meet plant safety requirements, including PPE

Physical requirements

  • Extended standing
  • Frequent bending, squatting, walking, stair/ladder climbing, and overhead reach
  • Regularly lift, move, or stack up to 50 lbs without assistance
