Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician who can adeptly read and interpret design prints, assemble equipment according to specifications, and design electrical diagrams. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot automation equipment, diagnose and fix faults, and support the maintenance of existing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Design panel layouts and create electrical schematics using 2D AutoCAD Electrical software.
- Build well-organized and labeled controls.
- Modify and troubleshoot PLC’s & HMI’s, including controllers like Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, and Panel View.
- Assemble, maintain, calibrate, and inspect automation control systems.
- Maintain Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
- Troubleshoot and modify PLC logic to support new equipment development.
- Maintain and update documentation for automated equipment, including electrical schematics, panel drawings, and manuals.
- Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues with instrumentation and automation control systems.
- Evaluate the performance of both automated and manual assembly equipment to optimize performance.
- Conceptualize, design, modify, and troubleshoot equipment and control systems, with a focus on specific PLC’s.
- Understand strength of materials, hydraulics, pneumatics, cam devices, stepper/server motors, drive systems, slide systems, sensor technologies, and machine control systems.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD Electrical software for design and schematic creation.
- Ability to specify electronic and pneumatic components for BOM development.
- Expertise in PLC and HMI troubleshooting and modification.
- Experience with robotics and motion control, particularly with UR and Fanuc Controllers.
- Strong electrical skills and industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience with 3 phase motors, panel wiring, and VFD’s.
- Self-motivated, driven, focused, and results oriented.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in troubleshooting Fanuc or Universal robots.
- Proficiency in wiring automated cells.
- Experience in HMI troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in programming and preventive maintenance.
- Experience in electrical and electronic assembly.

Work Environment
The position operates on a standard first shift from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
