Baltimore-based, full-service property management firm is seeking an Accounting Associate to handle all day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of properties, including HOA, Condo Associations and Commercial use.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-- Perform daily functions necessary to provide complete monthly financial reports on a timely basis
-- Assist the property management team in the creation and implementation of property’s annual budgets.
-- Completing the full AP and AR for assigned properties
-- Opening investment accounts and requesting bank loans for properties as needed
-- Maintain current and accurate client, tenant, and vendor records
-- Communications with clients, vendors and business partners via phone and email
-- Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
-- Experience: 5+ years of general accounting experience; property management or real estate development experience is a plus
-- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills
-- Organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills
-- Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment, and discretion
-- The willingness to learn and use new computer programs/applications
