Senior Project Engineer - Water & Wastewater

Full-time Hybrid Pittsburgh, PA $120,000 to $150,000 + Sign-On Bonus

Why This Role Lead the municipal water and wastewater projects that keep communities across Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic running. GAI Consultants is a 1,100-person infrastructure consulting firm. On our Pittsburgh Water & Wastewater team, you'll own projects from concept through construction and work directly with senior leadership to grow our utility and municipal client base.

What You'll Do

- \n
- Lead design of water distribution, wastewater collection, pump station, storage, treatment, and rehabilitation projects
- Deliver calculations, reports, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers
- Advise clients through meetings, site visits, and stakeholder engagement
- Support proposals and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) planning

What You Bring
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and valid driver's license
- Water and sewer design or rehabilitation experience
- Utility permitting and regulatory coordination experience
- Construction administration or field support experience
- Experience preparing plans, specifications, and bid documents

Preferred: Treatment facility and pump station design; proposal and business development experience.

Travel: 10%–15%, mostly within Western Pennsylvania, with occasional Mid-Atlantic travel.
