Are you a hands-on maintenance leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys building high-performing teams? We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a food manufacturing facility in Vernon, CA.
This position will play a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, driving continuous improvement, and supporting daily production through proactive maintenance strategies. The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with Plant Leadership and cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency while building a culture focused on safety, accountability, and teamwork.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians through coaching, hiring, training, and performance management
- Drive preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and ensure maintenance compliance throughout the facility
- Partner with Plant Leadership to improve machine performance, increase operational efficiency, and reduce equipment downtime
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices to optimize maintenance processes and plant performance
- Monitor equipment performance, preventative maintenance schedules, machine uptime, and maintenance KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to support daily operations and maximize equipment effectiveness
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve long-term equipment reliability
- Utilize maintenance and equipment data to improve production run speeds, minimize changeover downtime, and increase overall efficiency
- Build strong relationships with frontline employees while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of maintenance experience within a food manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with experience supporting industrial manufacturing equipment
- Experience leading preventative maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proven leadership experience hiring, coaching, developing, and managing maintenance teams
- Ability to analyze equipment performance data and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Associate degree, trade school certification, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Bilingual Spanish required
