We’re looking for an experienced Java engineer to join a large-scale technology environment, working on modern applications used across a complex global organisation.
\n
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, improving existing systems and helping shape the design of scalable, reliable applications.
\n
\n
What you’ll be doing:
\n
- \n
- Designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Building event-driven applications and integrations using Apache Kafka
- Developing and optimising Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Creating clean REST APIs and supporting responsive React applications
- Contributing to technical design and architecture decisions
- Reviewing code and supporting other engineers within the team
- Working with Docker, Kubernetes and modern CI/CD pipelines

What we’re looking for:
\n
- \n
- Strong commercial experience with Core Java and Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with microservices and Apache Kafka
- Good Oracle SQL and database-performance knowledge
- Experience developing or integrating with React applications
- An understanding of distributed systems and scalable application design
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or cloud-based environments
- The confidence to contribute to design discussions and mentor other developers

You don’t need to have used every technology listed, but you should be a strong hands-on Java engineer who is comfortable working across modern backend and full-stack applications.
