Duration: Initial engagement focused on website completion and launch, with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Position Overview A leading technology-focused organization is seeking an experienced Contract Wix Studio Web Designer/Developer to take ownership of completing and launching a new corporate website. This role is ideal for a self-directed professional who can balance website design, development, content organization, user experience, and project coordination while working with cross-functional stakeholders. The website foundation, branding, messaging, navigation, and page architecture have already been established. The selected contractor will lead the remaining development efforts, guide the project through testing and launch, implement multilingual functionality, and provide a structured handoff to the internal marketing team. Future opportunities may include ongoing website enhancements, multilingual website support, and assistance with global eCommerce and digital marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities • Review the existing Wix Studio website project and develop a clear plan to bring the site to launch.
• Complete, build, and populate website pages including product, solution, industry, and supporting content pages.
• Refine layouts, navigation, content structure, user experience, and calls-to-action.
• Ensure consistent application of branding standards across all website pages and components.
• Translate technical and business-focused information into customer-friendly web content.
• Create, edit, and optimize website copy as needed.
• Deliver a responsive user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Apply current SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices throughout the site.
• Implement multilingual functionality and manage translated content within Wix Studio.
• Develop and test redirects from the existing website to support a smooth migration.
• Coordinate and incorporate feedback from marketing, engineering, product management, customer support, and leadership teams.
• Conduct quality assurance testing and support the website launch process.
• Provide training for internal marketing personnel on website maintenance and content management.
• Document website settings, processes, workflows, and any approved custom functionality.
Required Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and developing websites using Wix; Wix Studio experience strongly preferred.
• Professional experience, education, or formal training in web design, web development, digital marketing, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design, usability principles, and information architecture.
• Knowledge of current SEO and GEO best practices.
• Excellent writing, editing, and content organization skills.
• Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of branding principles and experience maintaining brand consistency across digital assets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and project follow-through.
• Ability to effectively manage feedback from multiple stakeholders and departments.
• Experience training non-technical users to manage website content and updates.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience building and maintaining multilingual websites using Wix Multilingual.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Ability to perform basic website image editing and graphic updates.
• Experience supporting B2B, industrial, manufacturing, engineering, automotive, or other technical industries.
• Experience with website migrations, URL redirects, CMS-driven websites, and complex navigation structures.
• Experience supporting eCommerce websites or global online storefronts.
• Familiarity with technical products, services, and industrial marketing environments.
Contract Details This is a project-based contract engagement focused on completing, launching, and transitioning ownership of a corporate website to an internal marketing team. The contractor will be expected to provide training, documentation, and a formal project handoff upon completion. The contract may be extended based on project outcomes, quality of work, and future business needs. Potential follow-on work may include website enhancements, multilingual content support, ongoing digital marketing initiatives, and support for global eCommerce platforms.
