Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Join a dynamic creative packaging company as an Industrial Maintenance Technician with a focus on mechanical and electrical tasks. This role requires hands-on experience and expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting packaging equipment within a rapidly growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of packaging equipment, including X-ray machines, blenders, mixers, baggers, labelers, ink jet coders, and heat shrinking machines.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and wiring for motors up to 480V.
- Repair and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs and utilize HMI programs.
- Address mechanical troubleshooting involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Replace, troubleshoot, and repair photoelectric sensors.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding and fabrication as needed.
- Use an MRP system for maintenance tracking and planning.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience in preventative maintenance.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills, including wiring and working with 480V motors.
- Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting (inputs/outputs) and HMI programs.
- Experience with VFDs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in packaging, GMP, foods, automation, and stamping.
- Knowledge of working with operators.
- Welding skills and familiarity with wiring.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility spanning 200,000 sq. ft. The environment includes packaging machines, conveyors, and food processing machines. Multiple shifts are available, with the opportunity for overtime: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, Monday through Saturday, totaling 50-55 hours per week.

This is a Permanent position based out of Portage, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
