Description

- Communicates requests and requirements to sales, engineering, assembly, heater bending, machining, shipping and maintenance and various other departments

- Works with Quality Lead to meet product standards and productivity goals

- Participates in calibration system and documents out-of- tolerance conditions

- Participates in plant non-conforming materials process

- Inspects and verifies critical components, first-pieces and finished assemblies, and completion of required documentation and feedback to operators, engineering and other personnel

- Completes transactions in ERP system

- Ensures plant adherence to quality policies and procedures

- Maintains Quality records in accordance with ISO 9001 standards (next audit in September 2025)

- Serves as plant resource in area of test and measurement devices and techniques

- Performs receiving inspection and issues Non-Conformance Reports when required

- Performs customer returned goods analysis and creates failure analysis reports

- Duties and responsibilities reflect substantial variety and complexity

- Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues

- May orient and train as authorized

- Employ Continuous System Improvement Techniques to identify and recommend changes in inspection and production processes

- Ensures rejected materials are properly accounted for in the inventory management system

- Material accept/reject decisions and disqualification of test and measurement devices

- Reviews test equipment certification and suitability for specific applications

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Well versed in quality, measurement and statistical methods
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of ISO 9001
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of precision manufacturing measurement tools, including hand inspection tools and Coordinate Measuring Machines (Programming from SCRATCH)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of manually inspecting parts and creating and modifying programs in MCOSMOS (highly preferred) or PC-DMIS.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical prints, drawings, and production specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Demonstrated understanding of MS Office software programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of MRP systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Quality auditing tools and techniques.
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and communicate with all organization levels, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Geneva, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $46.00/hr.
