We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician / Supplier Quality Representative to join our Vendor Relations team and work full-time at one of our key manufacturing partner facilities in Hanover, PA. This position will serve day-to-day presence within the supplier's operation, ensuring products are manufactured, inspected, documented, and shipped in accordance with company requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the supplier's production and quality teams while maintaining regular communication with Corporate Quality team and Vendor Relations organization. This is a hands-on role that requires spending the majority of time on the manufacturing floor rather than behind a desk. The individual will be responsible for monitoring quality, validating shipments, maintaining inspection records, and providing visibility into production progress and potential issues. This role represents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within supplier quality, manufacturing operations, or vendor management. Responsibilities

  • Perform final inspections of finished products prior to shipment.
  • \n

  • Conduct sample audits and quality verification checks to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
  • \n

  • Capture and maintain photographic records of finished goods before dispatch.
  • \n

  • Verify shipment quantities, part numbers, labels, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • \n

  • Ensure shipped products accurately match purchase orders and production requirements.
  • \n

  • Perform routine inventory and raw material stock counts.
  • \n

  • Verify material availability and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • \n

  • Monitor daily production activity and provide updates on project progress.
  • \n

  • Identify and communicate quality, schedule, inventory, or production concerns.
  • \n

  • Escalate issues promptly to the Vendor Relations Manager and Corporate Quality team.
  • \n

  • Support corrective action activities and follow-up investigations where required.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • \n

  • Build effective working relationships with supplier personnel while serving as a representative on site.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Required Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, quality, or industrial environment.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and quality concerns.
  • \n

  • Comfortable working independently within a manufacturing facility.
  • \n

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to provide clear and timely reporting to multiple stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
  • \n

Preferred Skills

  • Experience within steel fabrication, metal manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
  • \n

  • Previous quality inspection or quality assurance experience.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with welding, fabrication, powder coating, painting, or assembly operations.
  • \n

  • Experience performing inventory counts, shipping verification, or manufacturing audits.
  • \n

  • Ability to read basic manufacturing drawings and product documentation.
