Komar, a global leader in the design, sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution of high-quality sleepwear, layering, and intimates is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to join our Intimates team at our Jersey City, NJ corporate office.

The candidate must be detailed and organized. Candidate will have an understanding of garment construction, fit, measurements, with a strong interest in intimate apparel.

Responsibilities:

- Assist Technical Designers with fit sessions, sample evaluations and garment measurements.
- Prepare and update technical specification sheets, charts and construction details.
- Review fit samples and assist with fit comments and corrections.
- Communicate fit revisions and changes to vendors and overseas factories.
- Track samples, lab dips, and development submissions to ensure deadlines are met.
- Help review garments for quality, workmanship, and adherence to approved specifications.
- Maintain accurate technical files, sample records, and product development documentation.
- Work with Design, Sales and Production teams.
- Assist with administrative team needs within the department.

Qualifications:
\n

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design or related field preferred.
- 1 year of intimate apparel experience a plus.
- Basic knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, and pattern development a plus.
- Familiarity with intimates stretch fabrics a plus.
- Must be proficient in MS Office and Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to details, ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with a team and meet tight deadlines.
