Role: Principal Network Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Carlsbad, CA (Onsite)


We are seeking a Principal Network Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support a high-performance, low-latency global network. This role is critical to ensuring resilient connectivity, strong security, and maximum uptime for online services and corporate systems in a distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain global WAN, LAN, and data center network architecture.
  • Optimize network performance for latency-sensitive production environments.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Manage and harden firewalls and security appliances such as Palo Alto and Cisco ASA.
  • Lead network incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and drive permanent corrective actions.
  • Support hybrid cloud networking, including AWS VPC, Direct Connect, and VPN connectivity.
  • Implement redundancy and failover strategies (e.g., HSRP, VRRP) to ensure high availability.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement SD-WAN solutions to improve resiliency and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 812 years of network engineering experience in enterprise or large-scale environments.
  • Strong expertise in routing/switching, network architecture, and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies in production environments.
  • Cloud networking experience, with AWS preferred (VPC design, connectivity, routing, security).
  • Familiarity with load balancing solutions (e.g., F5) is a plus.
  • Proven experience operating in high-availability, global environments with strong reliability expectations.
